This project being a celebration of the vegetal world, no tree is ever endangered in the collaboration process.

At the difference of animals like us, plants organism is highly divisible, which is mandatory to survive herbivores. They are basically a Colony of repeating modules, which allow them to regenerate extensively - A single plant can actually appear as a whole forest of trees.

This is why deciduous species can loose their leaves each year, that gardeners can cut branches and prune trees, that bonsaï artists can shape and devitalize parts of the trunk...

Superficial bark alterations as performed here are harmless. Fragile bonsai trees don't loose leaves in the process, the scale and pace of the work is adjusted to the plant size.
